Writing a reply draft
Why you write the first line yourself, how length is chosen, and what to check before you post.
You supply the point, the model supplies the wording
The note you type in the side panel is the message. The model is instructed to reword it and nothing more: it must not add an experience, a number, a tool or a product your note did not contain. A draft with no note behind it can only restate the thread, which is the most recognisable AI comment there is.
Quick starts and the 500 character limit
The chips under the box append a common opening to your note, and you can keep typing after one. The box holds 500 characters, which is plenty for a point. Anything longer is the reply itself rather than a note about it.
Length is relative, not absolute
Short, medium and long all scale against the median comment length in that thread, not against a fixed word count. Writing three paragraphs where everyone else wrote two lines is the fastest way to be downvoted, whoever wrote them.
Copy, read, edit, post
Drafts come back as three alternatives, each with a copy button. Nothing is typed into Reddit for you. Read every line before you paste it, because AI text can be confidently wrong and the account posting it is yours. In communities whose rules ban AI-written content, the drafting panel does not appear at all.
